North German Lloyd Company

Built in 1867, scrapped in 1896.

Between 1885 and 1888 a total of 2.385 jews arrive to Argentina on board of the steamship Weser.

Known trips:
In 1889 it leaves again the port of Bremen, Germany, with 120 families (828 persons) originary from Podolia, Russia. It arrives to the port of Buenos Aires City on August 14th, setting a milestone considered as the beginning of the organized jewish immigration to Argentina.
Isaac and Israel Zeigner, together with wives, children and grandchildren are counted among the passengers.
